I started ProvedHome in January 2026 because I was tired of two things: marketing-speak product pages that sell you on features you’ll never use, and angry one-star reviews from people whose product arrived broken. Neither helped me actually decide what to buy.
So I built ProvedHome around a simple principle: read everything an owner of a product would have read after living with it for six months, then write that review.
Since launch, I’ve personally researched and written 60+ product reviews and comparisons. My process: for each product, I analyze 200-500 verified owner reviews across Amazon, Reddit (r/VacuumCleaners, r/BuyItForLife, r/Cooking), and manufacturer forums, looking for patterns in long-term performance, common failure modes, and real-world use cases that marketing materials don’t mention.
My background
I’m not a lab engineer. I don’t claim 12 years of professional appliance testing. What I do bring is:
- A research-first method. For every product, I read aggregated owner feedback across Amazon verified reviews, Reddit threads, and forum discussions — looking for patterns, not cherry-picked quotes.
- Independent lab data triangulation. When organizations like Consumer Reports, Wirecutter, or Good Housekeeping publish public test methodology and results, I cross-reference those findings (always cited).
- Plain-language writing. I’d rather tell you a $40 product is the right call than push you to a $400 one with better margins.
How I work
I run ProvedHome as an independent solo publisher. I don’t accept free product samples from manufacturers, I don’t take sponsored placements inside reviews, and I don’t run paid product rankings.
The site is monetized through affiliate links — when a reader clicks a link to Amazon or another retailer and buys something, ProvedHome earns a small commission at no extra cost to the reader. This is disclosed on every review and on the Affiliate Disclosure page.
